Finch's thread on target stands got me thinking about a project I have been mulling over for a while.
A while back I saw a story on one of the gunny TV shows about a rifle training course at Gunsite (I think). They used a silouette target with a gong in the middle that swung sideways when hit. I liked the way this gave immediate feedback on a solid hit.
I would like to make one of these on a deer body to help my nephews get ready for this fall. Does anyone know how the target was swung? I have some ideas, but being lazy, I don't want to re-invent the wheel, so to speak.
