I have a sa remington 700 in .308.

I am thinking about getting an archangel stock for it mainly because it takes m14-m1a mags and I like the way it looks.

They offer it two ways.

One is pillar bedded and the other has a full bed block.....what one should I get?
I want it for some private benchrest shooting and plan to hunt with it since my sps 300 blk dont look like it will come back from remington in time to get it ready for some bambi slaying.

I dont have any personal experience with this, but I have done a little bit of Google searching today. I found mostly mixed feelings about both.

My feeling is for a bench gun that the bedding block might be better. I come to this conclusion by feel more than factual knowledge. The block is stiffer... And John Whidden, a local smith and champion shooter sells bedding blocks.

I would probably opt for the block if they are equal cost.

If you're looking at a chassis you might look at Accuracy International's AICS platform. 5&10 round magazines are available. Down side is that they are heavy. I have several builds with them, below is a .223 AI.

The full bed block is a little more.......im going to be using this as a deer rifle. Im not looking to make a high dollar sub moa target gun.... I picked the arch angel on cost...cost of mags.. availability of mags..

Its seems like alot of the AICS platform stuff you cant even get mags for right now.
I have thought about AICS for my 300blk sps 700. But again. Trying to find .223 mags seema near impossible
