help with filing mags to fit a Century WASR

recently ordered Bulgarian new surplus mags for a WASR, and despite others indicating that theses mags fit their WASR they definitely do not fit my rifle. Does anyone know of any pictures available that indicate typical areas of the mag to file down in order to get them to fit?

Do you have mags that do fit?
Look and see what is different in the mags.
If you have trouble with all mags, then your selector stop might
be to thick.

yes do have mags that fit, they are the same type. Whatever the differences are they are very difficult to spot, I have tried that already.

If all your mags have trouble fitting I'd work on the rifle not the mags.

the other mags fit fine, the new ones are the problem

Do they fit in the mag well and the mag release not lock?

they fit in the Mag wellll but will not rock into place. I have filed some of the nub that fits into the mag release, but have filed to the point that it is the same size as the metal mags I already have that do fit----however the filed mag still won't lock into place

This video is for fitting the MDArms drum to the Saiga 12 shotgun, but the concept is the same and all the locking surfaces are identical. This will show you what you will need to modify to get it to fit.

I had a similar issue with never-issued bulgarian steel mags in my SGL21. It was easily fixed by taking a file to the bottom surface of the rear locking tab and getting a little metal off. Take it slow with only a few passes at a time until the mags lock in place easily and securely. The difference between wont lock, and snaps right in was literally microscopic.
