The Pawn Shop where I work has a Winchester 1885 High Wall.

This is not the kind of gun we typically deal with, and I have been tasked with coming up with a fair price for the gun.

I would rate wood and metal at about 70%.

It's in .32-20(32 WCF) 28" barrel, 9xx serial number.

Any help ya'll could provide, or resources you could direct me to, would be MUCH appreciated!

Couple of oddities here.

Caliber .32 Win WHAT?
It might reasonably be .32-40 (like mine was before it was rebored to .38-55)
or .32 WCF/.32-20 which is a small round for a Highwall, more often seen in Lowwalls.

SN 900 was made in 1886, the second year of production, which kind of knocks out the .32 Winchester Special except as a rebore or rebarrel.

The ones rcmodel found are less common variants. Half round barrel and the obscure .38 Express caliber would add to price. But the very early number on yours would too. Maybe, it looks straight but a little beat up.

Bert H on the Gunbroker board works at the Cody Museum and has access to the records. He would have something to say about this one, I bet.

My mistake, sorry!!!
.32 WCF is correct.

I don't know how to tell a high wall from a low wall, I'm going by what I was told.

Tried twice to register on the GB forums, but never get an activation message. Trying to figure out how to contact a mod there......
