A local store in my neck has an FIE .36 cal octogan 7.5" Bbl brass framed open top pistola fer $150.00
However, he can't id the manufacturer.
He says that there is a stamp that looks like either PR or PPR Italy on it.
As far as i know FIE is only an importer ?
Anyone got a guess as to or know the maker of this gun ?

This pistol was probably made by Riva Esterina, a manufacturer that went out of business in the 1980s; one of their logos looked like "R"s stacked over a "P".

I had the same problem turns out my 2nd model Dragoon is a ASM even though I can't find anything except Siles Dist on it.
Post a photo, somebody will know.

Good idea Tom. I'm about to send this link off to the store and he'll use it to go over the gun.
I can't get to the store until saturday so if he can't id it by then i'll take and post pics.

( mumy don't git home from work in time for us to make the store before it closes and goin to a gunstore with out her, especialy in this weather on a bike, is well.......we jist don't look at guns without each other ;) )

Thanx SDC. Any knowledge of thier quality or lack there of ?
Is it worth the askin used price ?
( condition dependin' )

No idea, sorry, Jim; if you do a google image search for "Riva Esterina", it comes up with several marks that they used, so you might be able to confirm it that way.

Thanx SDC,
I jist went and bot it.As long as i can make 'er a shooter, the maker really matters not i spose.
It needs some pawl work but i got it for $100.
It's worth it to me jist to git to learn these old C&B's.
I posted pics in my " I bot it post".
