I was cleaning my beretta 9000s and the firing pin got pushed to the up postion; now I can't get it back down to put the slide/barrel back on.
Please help!
Just wanted to let you know, that's not the firing pin.
Unfortunately, I'm unable to help as well, but in the future it will help if you are able to correctly identify the part in question so folks can get right down to solving the problem.
It's the firing pin catch lever. I can't help either; my suggestion would be for you to ask your question in the Handgun section at www.berettaforum.net.
Hilarious that the instructions tell you to verify that the catch lever is in the down position before reassembly but doesn't tell you how to get it there if it's not.
BTW, the best thing I can tell you to help you other than the above is to get rid of it as soon as you get it fixed. The 9000 is a Beretta abortion born of letting a fashion designer have input into a firearm...according to Ayoob, even the company is embarrassed by its existence.
