There was a quote by someone about how it's the criminal's who's rights you have to protect, because they're representative of everyone and what happens to them happens to all. Anyone know it, or who by?

I think it was Soljenetzin (sp?) who said that you can tell a lot about a society by how they treat their prisoners.
