This is me trying to remount the trigger assembly to the bottom of the barrel of my friends Remington 580 .22 :banghead:
Seems that you need to maintain pressure on the hammer when you install the spring on top of the trigger that actuates the hammer, then tap the compression pin through the trigger housing and trigger all the while maintaining pressure on top of the hammer so the spring does not slip off the notch on the bottom of the hammer.
Then maintaining pressure you need to take the trigger housing with the safety pin with spring installed and try to mate it up with the notch for the hammer and the hole for the safety. I dont have paper thin fingers so the spring always slips off and ends up bending forward on top of the trigger. Anyways it's a real fracking pain in the butt.
Does any one know where I could get some instructions for re-mounting the dang trigger assembly for the Remington 580 .22? Any diagram of the trigger assembly also appreciated. If I do a Google search I can find one but it doesn' tlook like the trigger assembly I am looking at.
