I clean my Mark III 22/45 after every range session even if I only burn 50 rounds through it. After you get the hang of it, you can do it as fast as any other gun. I can fly through mine now but I must admit, the first time, I sat for near an hour and a half wondering how the hell it went back together. Once ya get it down, it's smooth. When I bought it the guy at the store said it was near impossible. Now, after my 15 or 20th time, he's full of it. It's easy and if anyone ever needs help feel free to PM me.

Why do you think I removed my Mk3's mag safety? Took about 20 minutes. Now it reassembles with little effort, I can take it down and put it back together in about a minute.

The hardest part of re-assembly is where you have to stand on your head. Gives me a headache. (GG)

Bullseye's instructions are excellent. I've had my MK III 22/45 for about a year. The first thing I did was read the manual instructions followed by Bullseye's instructions, and then run through dissasembly and reassembly 3-4 times until it became no big deal. If you get stuck - head to mkiii.org and post on the boards. They've seen it all before. :)

Now if only MKIII 22/45s could accept 1911 grip panels out of the box... :cuss:
