Hi guys, I am looking at this and thinking it might be suitable for a conversion to something like a 40-65!

Calibre/Item: 20G BP
Make: Enfield-Henry
Model: 1878
Action: Martini

I can't find anything about the 20G BP shotgun version, does anyone know about these and the difference between them and the standard henry martini 1878?

If so what would be needed to convert it to a rifle?

It probably didn't start it's life as a 20. I've seen a few converted to 12gauge. Similar to a Greener Mk3, which had a unique stepped 12-14gauge cartridge.

There is a shop called Odin Arms that specialized in it.

Personally, i'd keep it in 20 gauge and go shoot some trap.
