AS of today it is officially 2 months until dove season.

Dang, Smoke . . . I wish we had doves here in SE Wa State like you folks do in Texas . . . you be giddy, I'll have to settle for jealous.
 
I know the feeling, Smoke. I've got a new to me Winchester 1300 12 gauge that's begging for a good wringing out.
 
i dont think id want to eat the doves around my area, they are smaller than pigions, and eat about the same crap. not gonna waste a shot shell on a teaspoon of meat lol.
 
Ah, but dove is worth the small amount of meat.

Especially if you hunt them near the grain fields.

Roasted with garlic potatoes, corn on the cob, and green beans ...

I can't wait!!! I have too many doves down here. You can limit in like 10 minutes. It's insane!!
