ineresting. have you had a chance to take it too the range yet?

trade a pt1911 that i helped a guy out with rent got the pt1911 for 500.00 trade i lost 80.00
bucks the rock was 585.00 the dealer came down 40.00. So i paid the diff. as far as shooting it not yet gotta strip it then off to the range

You do know that Rock is a sub $500 gun right?

IF you like it and you feel you got a deal more power to you. Tell us how it shoots.

I got the exact same gun earlier this month. Mine shot to the left when I first got it. Not sure how it's shooting now as I haven't gotten it to the range since I put some upgrades into it. I put a Wilson Combat humped mainspring housing and a Group Gripper full length guide rod into it. I also got some genuine Colt 8-round magazines with a flat metal floorplate to replace the bulky magazine it came with. The new magazines fit the magwell a lot better. They lock in solidly, with no movement whatsoever.

I got lost in the math...So you traded a gun you paid $500 for and had to put another $129 with it?
i would not have paid 500 for the tarus but he had family that was in need and he is a friend so when i traded it i lost 80.00 on trade no matter like i said he is a friend

Looks nice. Nickel is a nice touch. Can't help but wonder whether elk horn grips would compliment the finish.

As to the price, all you're out is governor Perry's share and he has to have ammo to fend off those pesky coyotes.

I bought exactly the same pistol right after Christmas. I've only got about 300 rounds through it, 1/3 Remington HP's, and it has been almost perfect. The only issue is that it shoots one inch groups about one inch to the right at ten yards. However, that I can deal with once I'm sure it's broken in.

Don't worry too much about the math. It's really hard to buy everything in life at "less than wholesale". If it was in your budget and you like it, great.

It looks good. Enjoy it and shoot it often. If you get tired of it, trade it and try something else. Thank God we have so many choices and we still have the freedom to exercise "choice".

You helped out a friend and got a brand new gun. Life is good and so is that gun. I know we are in the age of the plastics but I have to say I love the look of that 100 year old style.
Mike
