Acquisition 1 of 2 in hand now :)

Brand New Bersa Thunder .380 in Satin Nickel.

Toy #2 will be a while before it arrives (Springfield M1A in Camo, used from a Friend), I'll post pictures of it when it arrives in a month and a half :)

Sorry if the pictures aren't perfect, I really need one of those DSLR's :D

Very nice setup on that Norinco! I'll have to show that to my friend. He doesn't like how Hi Points look, but I keep telling him that they're very good guns for the price so maybe that will convince him.

nice!! the satin bersa's are very sexy! I had an all blued series 95 that i sold several months back... still kicking myself for that, but hey, made money on the deal that turned into another gun, so can't complain i guess

We have the same model. My wife has it and won't give it back!

After holding mine, the wife has disclaimed that another will enter the domicile within the next few months :)

Range Report tomorrow! Hope I remember to bring the camera :)

I bought my wife one a little over a month ago. She LOVES it, almost as much as I do. I want another for me! When you take it to the range, try to pay particular close attention to the trigger. I found it to be as amazing as this review did.

I think the blued ones are all double stack mags, and the nickle are single stack. Ours is single, wife has small hands. Next one may be double:)

I don't think so.

I got one with some kind of black finish on it. It rusts if you fart near it. Great gun, just have to wipe it down with a silicon cloth when you put it away to keep it from rusting.

Hopefully you don't have the same problem with that finish.

No, the Double stack is known as the "Thunder 380 Plus", it's a separate gun. I think the Plus is only available in black, but there are single stacks available in black also.

Ok, Range Report!

Ok, first off, my aim was a bit shaky, it was cold in there :)

The Bersa shot pretty well, on the shots where I really took my time, the bullets went right in the bullseye. I was shooting Federal Independence Ammo.

Had two problems during the 100 rounds I put through it. On the first mag, had a failure to feed on the 4th shot, seemed that the recoil spring wasn't strong enough to push the bullet out of the magazine, pulled it back slightly, let go, and it chambered.

On the 5th mag, I had a failure to eject. I blame this on myself, I think I limp-wristed it. The slide started to come forward, and caught the round pretty much straight into the front of the ejection port. When I racked it, it also ejected the next live round.

6th magazine - 3 rounds @ 25 yards, 1 shot at each bullseye:

After that, I just did a bunch of rapid fire at the target at 10 yards, didn't snap a picture of that one.

* The trigger was very smooth, I only fired in SA, I'm not a fan of DA.
* The magazine release is VERY tight, I'd imagine it will loosen up after a while
* The web between my thumb and index finger is very sore now, not sure why, the recoil is very little.
* I really wish they came with more than one magazine, too much of a break between shooting to reload the little 7 rounder.
* The Safety/Decocking lever drops the hammer a little fast for my taste, I'm very tempted to help the hammer down slow when I use it.

Those are nice little pistols, I have one of those but instead of the satin I have the blued finish.

Fired about 15,000 rounds through it and it has yet to let me down yet. Just keep it clean and use quality ammo and you won't be disappointed.
