Das Jaeger :)

Uhhh

Uhhh , Yup , I did .
Cant buy those in a store , or from me , hee hee hee . I used to do this for a living , now I do it for fun or free to family and friends . Get to know me well and if I like you , ALLOT , I will make ya a pair , hee hee hee .

Das Jaeger :)

PS...... Just to let ya know , I would charge no less than $200 for a set of those Rogers Grips , no less than . They are a very hard grip to fit the frames , convex rounds on upper frame , very difficult work . If I charged by the hour on the set , I have over 20 hours into fitting and shaping these one set , with no finish work included with Laquer on that . Do the MATH on what they are worth ? $200 would be a bargain . Thats without wood cost, sand paper , laquer , and escutchens .
Thats why I don't do it for a living anymore , PEOPLE ARE CHEAP !

I never would have figured the time behind those grips. They are very nice. Lucky me the grips on my old R&S are in good condition with a good sharp cartouche :)

I see

I see you have exceptional taste too Smokin_Gun :)
Love those Civil War Era style R and D cylinders .
Check this one out :

Das Jaeger, thanks . :)

R&S is my favorite bp handgun. I have one Euroarms that's been accurized and one original civilian model (no martial inspection stamps). I have a conversion cylinder for my shooter but the 45colt w/ 8.5g Unique cracked a grip so I'm going for a pair of poly-ivory for durability. Here's my original on display.

Nicely done!

I hope the varnish or whatever you used to finish them keeps the wood from going more brownish with time. I've got some padauk in the shop and it's like ketchup red when first exposed but after a couple of months it's more a mahogany reddish brown on the outer surface. But MAN is it striking when first cut!
