After this hurricaine blows over and we all finish cleaning up, is anyone interested in a group shoot. Maybe a Sunday in October, maybe at the State run range on the Chickahominy. How 'bout it???
 
Figure an hour east of Richmond, so it's a long way from NoVa. Never too far to drive when there's guns involved. My personal problem with this is that I'll be shooting Sectionals and a big ol' 3 gun later in the month, that should suck up all of my gun time.

Only general problem I see is that the range there is rife with non-gunhandling hunters at about that time and that you can only shoot rifle from a seated position through a port. Other than that, it's nice especially for a free range.
 
We can contact Blackcreek Shooting club in Ashland. They have a nice little range with facilities for handguns, rifles, and shotguns. I used to belong there and considering going back (lack of time caused me to drop out several years ago). They may consider helping us out.
 
i might be able to do it. if we need a place, i am a member of the west point gun club, which is 45 min east of richmond in king and queen county, just across the river from west point, and i can bring as many guests as i want. we have no limit on what kind of weapons you want to bring, just no AP (i don't think). we are in the process of making a 200-300 yd rifle range and a pistol range, but for right now it's just a 100yd range. let me know when, and i'll see what we can do. if we can get a place closer to richmond, that would be better.
 
I know this is gonna be too far for most of ya', but, considering the facilities, I gotta plug my home range. I can drive to Charlottesville in 3.5 hrs. Lexington in in 1hr,45 min. 100 yd all purpose w/ 25 yd target holder, trap & Skeet, 2 pistol ranges ( 1 w/ plates), main Street and something else. Sorry I dropped the ball, folks...
Had a flooded basement thanks to the hurricaine. I also had to put one of my dogs to sleep...The last 4 weeks have been a challenge.
