Anyone work with stingray?

The local Tandy leather has tanned stingray on sale for $19 (corrected) each, thought I might pick one up for grins.

I was THINKING about 'covering' a Galco speed scabbard or making a knife sheath.

Do you glue your stingray over other leather or what?

I've been having this idea too!


Unfortunately, the only skins I can find lately are the crap, sanded down pieces of junk on Ebay.


Those little japanese sword guys know where to get the gooood stuff.
