I recently ran across this site and looks like a very nice forum. I would like to introduce myself. My name is Jon Jackoviak, my wife and I own a small business called "The Optic Zone", www.theopticzone.com, which specializes in quality optics and some shooting supplies. I will be in and out of the forum to try and answer any questions people may have on optics. If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to contact me.

Welcome

Welcome to THR. Please keep your hands and arms inside the cart at all times. The ride may be bumpy so please fasten your seat belt, your try table should remain the in upright position until the captain has given the go ahead to move freely about the cabin. Also, in the event of a water landing, your seat cushion may be used as a flotation device.

Thank you.
Come again

:p

nice site and great prices!

hope you have a good time here.

Welcome to THR!

I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize in advance for anything that I may say that might offend you at some point in the future. :p

Got anything that'll mediate a depth-perception issue ?

"Welcome to the party, pal!"

Maybe you can help with something I've been looking for. I'd like to find a clip-on, flip-up/down blinder for shooting glasses. My wife is cross-eye dominant and she has trouble with certain shooting exercises on the long range. She uses an eye patch and that works well for the shooting but interferes with the shooting glasses. I've seen the item I'm talking about used by Olympic shooters etc. but can't seem to find them anywhere.

Howdy! And Welcome!
I'm kind of kicking around the idea of putting a Redfield Widefield 4X on my Grandson's 30-06 BAR - he's not big enough to hunt yet, but will be in a few years. What have you heard about the new line of Redfield scopes? Are they any good?
Oh, and seeing as how new guys buy the beer, I like Alaskan Summer Ale.
Thanks. ;)

Sharp Shooter,

I have not seen any of the new Redfields or the new Simmons scopes. Hoping to very soon.

How does one properly adjust the polyspectral multiphasic coating on a roof prism in order to eliminate the polarization dependent hyperfrequency luppingsnarf crosstalk distortions?

Welcome to The High Road.

By the way . . . :neener:

Hank,

To fix this problem, close your right eye and than take your left hand cover your left eye followed by adjusting the focusadjustolator with your right hand until to get the proper image alignment. Presto all fixed.

How's that? :D

I tell you what I'd really like to get, one of those artificial iris that sticks to your safety glasses. Unfortunately they want something like $65 for the little sucker.

Oh and Ghostrider, I've seen a few of those flip blinders at various gunstores/ranges in N. VA, so check those where you're at.
