Hi-cap Springfields

How reliable are they? Are the grips too large for medium hands?
Looking at CDNN cat. and they have several---full size 14 rd.----ultra compact 12 rd.
Anyone had any of these?

I had a double stack full size - it just didn't feel right. I couldn't get comfortable with it. Now I'm back to a single stack and it, as 1911s always have, fits like it was made for me. I do like the capacity of the double, but you gotta hit the target, or capacity means nothing.

YMMV. My buddy who got the double from me loves it. We're simlar in size. Go figure.

The only way to know if it fits YOU is to try one. If you can find a way to try before you buy, so much the better.



Springfield service stinks, but that's not a reason not to buy a used one - just know that going in. Chances of needing factory service are slim anyway.
