If you think you want the laser and compensator then it is not that overpriced ($50 overpriced maybe). Personally I would wait to get the plain rifle at the normal price.
I agree that if you want the extras that it has, make an offer. The worst the seller can do is say no, or make a counter-offer. FWIW, I really like my own Hi-Point 995.
The price is very fair - neither a bargin or a rip off. They are still not plentiful around most parts of the country so I wouldn't squable over a $20 - $30 price point thinking you could get one for that much cheaper.
Yeah, they're hard to find and getting harder, and the prices are going up. Try to bargain, but I'm afraid I'd have to get it. I have a 4095, and bought a 995 for my 12y.o. grandson. We love 'em, they're a hoot!
It's the best deal going on a 9mm carbine. I dont know about the compensator or laser stuff, but I have a regular 9mm carbine in an ATI stock with a reflex site. Non-shooters can pick it up and shoot 3" groups at 50 yards. Of all my guns, it is (hands down) the non-shooters favorite. It has very little kick and the looks on their faces when they look at the target after emptying the magazine is priceless. If there were coyotes or zombies in the back yard, this is the gun I would put in my wife's hands to dispatch them.
