Hi Point Carbine Opinions

I picked one up in 9mm because it's a cheap plinker and I don't have a pistol caliber carbine and already shoot 9mm. I considered the 45 acp model but went for the 9mm because frankly I can't stand the way they look factory and the ATI stock that makes it look like a Beretta CX9 only fits the 9mm model as far as I've been able to tell.
I don't have a ton of trigger time yet but it's been fun, handy, accurate, and cheap!

had one put many thousand 40s through it. Gave it to my neighbor and him and his boy have put many more thousand rounds though it. Only problem we had was my own fault. I loaded .40s for a handgun and gave him a coffee can full. They were to long to funtion in the carbine so i took them back and just pushed all the bullets in a bit more. The load was allready pretty stout and that deaper seating raised pressure to dangerous levels. I never shot them so i didnt know ( sure should have checked!!) he shot just about the hole coffee can and came over with gun and it wouldnt function. the bolt was beat about to death. I looked at primer pockets of the brass and knew instantly what happened. I felt bad and told him id take care of shipping it in and pay to fix it. I called highpoint and told them exactly what i did and they said no problem and even sent me a free shipping lable. Gun came back like new and they even threw in another free magazine. Cant beat that for customer service. Most companys would stop you the minute you mentioned handloads. Let alone admitted you overloaded them.
