I have inherited a firearm from my Uncle, named in title. The difference with this one is the full barrel is flat on both sides. From the S/N I found that this was manufactured in 1946.

I have the box, original tag, schematic sheet and target.

The downside is I am missing the safety lever. Have the spring, detent ball, and screw, also someone carved the left side wood hand grip for thumb placement. I was able to locate plastic replacement grips, but would rather the wood.

Gun is amazing! 99% bluing. No holster wear, other than mentioned problems.

We cannot find the flat barrel in any books or internet searches or Numerich's.

Any idea where I can get these parts? Any idea as to value of this fine piece w/flat barrel?

Have not figured out yet, how to attach a photo of this firearm. Please let me know an easy way to do this!! Thanks for all of your time and help.

If Numrich does not have the safety, Jack First would be a good place to try.

The barrels with the sides slabbed were don by a few target shooters to change the weight and balance of thei pistols. I have a few o fthese recorded in my research pages and in no case were they shipped through the Sales/marketing department account numbner as the few "specials" that can be verified were shipped.

Without a serial number I cannot tell when or to what account number it was shipped but real factory specials are very few in number where as the number of owner modified guns is much more plentiful.

You might also contact High Standard Houston as a possible source of parts. They have purchased some old guns to get parts for restorations they have done.
