Anyone know the best way to clean the lead out of the muzzle brake of a hi standard space gun? I recently bought the old cleaning tool for it but wanted some advice before I risked marking up a near perfect gun.

Agree with the above replies. Take the muzzle break off and enjoy shooting the gun. I own two High Standard 22’s and they are nice accurate guns.

There are several youtube videos on cleaning compensator/muzzle brakes. High Standard's official name for that piece is stabilizer.
once you've cleaned this part, take some RIG and wipe it all over, wrap in rust preventive paper, seal in a plastic sandwich bag with a desiccate pack and forget you have it.
The vinegar peroxide soaks works real well, but it stinks and the fumes are dangerous. When I had my Citation 107 I hunted for one of those stabilizers with no luck.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I’ll probably try my best to give it a careful cleaning then remove it for future shooting I doubt it’s making a huge difference. Honestly it’s just a neat part of the old gun.
