Does anyone have any experience with high noon holsters product? if so, please tell me about their quality, customer service and any other comments you have about them. I order two holster from then, one tuckable and the other not tuckable. Please provide some feedback.

Just with some of their "in-stock" line. I always get one of their "Bare Assets" (a soft glove leather IWB clip-on) for a new gun until a better holster can be made or otherwise obtained. Not that this holster is bad - it is well made and positions and retains the handgun very well - but any soft holster is a nuisance if you have to insert and withdraw a handgun more than a couple of times. I also have their "Tie Breaker" (for solo mags) magazine carriers. These are OK but could be better. As touted on the website, you just select the size you want (for single or double stack) and adjust the tension screws to fit your mag, so you don't have to order separate carriers for each type of gun. This is fine, but also IMO adds unnecessary bulk to the carriers. The snap-closure, underflap retention lets them move around quite a bit, too.

Other than the long wait time for the made to order holsters (curious, as they bill themselves as a factory with heavy machinery, not a one-man or few-man shop), I wouldn't hesitate to order one from them, based on the quality of those I've received so far.

I have to go the complete opposite and say that the in stock line is overpriced, its basically a cheap leather holster that will destroy your guns finish. I bought a bare asset for my sig, i really wish i would have just waited for the ctac.

Appreciate your feedback. Right know I have a cheap uncle mike IWB that is doing the job until I get the 2 that I ordered, by the way I ordered the tuckable "tail gate" and the untuckable "down under". Let's see if the quality and comfortness meets my expectations.

I recently received a Slide Guard that I ordered in late December. Be patient. Your holster may take awhile to get to you.

Overall, I lke the holster; it has a nice fit and finish to it. I ordered the Slide Guard because I like having the extra piece of leather to protect, and prevent from moving, the safety on my 1911. The leather piece does just that, but it is too large overall. I can't get a good firing grip on the gun because of that piece of leather. I would like to have it smaller; like what Milt Spark's Versa Max has.

Other than that, I like the holster. Mine is black cow hide, unlined.

I have a Glock 19, and still waiting for my CWP, so not carrying daily. But I carry around the house, and shoot IDPA, so I'm preparing to carry. When I first got the gun, I got the $12 glock combat holster, coz I knew I was gonna need *something* to shoot IDPA.

I bought a crossbreed (thanks to recommendations from THR members) IWB supertuck, mainly because I wanted an adjustable IWB w/ two securing points, and first looked at the CTAC, but after experimenting w/ carrying a little already, I realized that w/ my body style sometimes I could get pinched or poked, and I liked the design of the crossbreed protecting me and the gun from each other, both at the front and rear of the slide of the gun, and since the hoslter is a slide, it will work w/ my 19, and with a future 26, much like the CTAC does. I especially liked it for if I really didn't want to wear an undershirt, and still keep the gun off the skin.

W/ that said, I figured that would be a good holster for both the 19 and the 26, but both the crossbreed and the glock require a little effort to remove and transport the gun on and off body, into drawers, car consoles, etc., and I wanted a holster that was just a basic holster, but also functional, easy to take on and off, IWB and tuckable, a good all around holster to keep w/ the gun in the car, or when I'm taking it in and out of the car, range bag, drawer, etc.

So I bought the in stock $35 Split Decision, after reading some other THR members liked it. For $35, it is what it is and works well. The more expensive $60-$80 options have that extra strip of leather to protect from the slide above the grip or more leather or clips to be more secure, and the reinforced openings for easier reholstering, but I figured my crossbreed would foot that bill for either the 19 or the 26, so I personally didn't want to spend that kind of money on a holster that would only work w/ the 19, not knowing if I would just stick w/ the 19, or eventually carry a 26 on a day-to-day.

So, I bought the split decision for $35 + shipping, and I like it for what it is. If it was a main carry holster, I would want the strip of leather to protect from pinching, and the reinforced mouth for reholstering, but again, I'd have to spend more for that. So, I like the Split Decision for my needs, an extra holster for moving the gun around easily, it's small, it's got a sturdy clip on it that's easy to get on and off, but secures to your belt when you need it. Based on what I got for $35, I'm sure there other more expensive holsters would be nice too.

Hope that helps.

When I first got my Glock 26 and CHL, I was looking for a leather IWB holster to "test drive" both CCW and IWB carry. I knew better than to get a super-cheap nylon holster ("I wonder if I'd like scotch? I know how to find out -- I'll go buy some $9 scotch!").
OTOH, I didn't want to pay or wait for a nice custom, just to see if CCW and IWB work for me.

My choices in moderately-priced, reasonably-functional leather IWB holsters seemed to be limited to the various Galcos and High Noon. I ordered a High Noon Hideaway http://www.highnoonholsters.com/Product_Line/_Hideaway_w_clip/_hideaway_w_clip.html on closeout for $30. High Noon called me the next morning and very courteously verifed my order ("We just wanted to make sure you knew that those closeouts are LH"), and emailed me the tracking number an hour later.

It was my first holster of any type, so I didn't have anything to compare it to at the time. From other hobbies, I have a fair eye for fit/finish and careful construction, so I can at least say I was impressed with this holster.

I've carried this holster about 2/3 of the time only since this past March, but so far I've been quite pleased. Most days I wear it for about 12 hours. The leather has not harmed the finish on my gun, it rides securely, and I like the convenience, stability, and concealability of the metal clip much more than I thought I would. It has a leather stiffener band around the opening and is very easy to re-holster. Unlike karz10, I don't miss the leather slide-protector strip, and I don't get pinched. I seldom wear the holster with a t-shirt underneath, almost always just right on my skin. With a different gun, I would probably want the protector strip.

I wish it were tuckable, and my next G26 holster will be. But that's the kind of thing I had to learn by just getting a holster and carrying. After reading endless "What is the perfect holster?" threads here, I sure didn't expect to find my perfect CCW holster the first time!

More experienced CCW'ers might see the little tension adjustment screw as gimmicky or unecessary, but I like it as my holster has relaxed a bit, and as a CCW n00b it took/is taking a fair bit of carry and practice to determine how snug I want it.

I later got a nice used Rafters IWB for my 1911. It is obviously a nicer holster, and it should be -- it is a custom holster, in a different price range, from a respected maker. I bet the "top tier" holster makers are sweeter still.

But with my High Noon, I am unaware of a better leather IWB in the $30-$50 range. I say give them a shot (no pun intended) -- good honest folks, pleasant on the phone (increasingly rare these days), and at it's price point, a great product, IMHO.
