I just bought a browning high power clone. Made in Hungary by FEG and imported by Century Arms International according to the stamp on the slide. It has a shorter barrel than the normal high power but looks just like one otherwise. It is double action when hammer is down and the "safety" is a decocker. The finish is very nice high polished dark blue on frame and slide and the magazine holds fifteen rounds of 9mm parabellum. Now the embarrassing part: I can't get the slide off. This is not one of my 1911 pistols with the nice notch for pushing out the slide lock pin. I have racked the slide and locked it back and tried to push out the pin. Dropped the slide and hammer and tried to push out the pin, pushed on the pin while slowly retracting the slide looking for a "sweet spot" where it will come out but it won't budge. OK, I'll admit I'm being REALLY careful how I push on the end of the pin because I'd be really mad if I marked this beautiful finish. Anyone out there with a suggestion other than "get a BFH?? Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

Sounds like you have one with the SFS system, which would make the sequence for takedown different. You'll have to hold the slide to the rear while you pop out the slide stop.
