Would anyone have any idea where I can buy some full size high power rifle silhouette targets? The club I shoot at has maximum distance of 200 yards. I now have a location I can shoot the full distance but I don't have any targets! Drat.

Are you talking about targets for NRA & CMP Highpower rifle compitition? Only Off Hand (standing) is shot at 200 yards, sitting is shot at 300 and prone (laying on your belly) is at 600 yards.

You can buy "reduced" targets for the sitting (SR-42) and prone (MR-52) strings that will give you the same sight picture as shooting at full distance.

Try these places.

Remember: Dry fire as much as you can, focus on the front sight, forget about the last shot, don't worry about the next shot, and break this shot in the X ring.

Good luck,
Jim

Hey there, thanks for the help. I meant paper targets, not metal ones. I believe the dang sheep weighs 63 lbs! That's waaaaay too much for my lazy self to lift! I'd far rather lift paper and a stapler. So far, I hadn't found any paper ones. Thanks though. Rog

Paper Silhouette Targets

I know, an old thread but just what you asked for www.bpcrtargets.com
paper silhouette targets scaled for 200 yard use. chicken, pig, turkey, ram.
also a 100 yard paper chicken.

If you had a print shop that would scale them up, the correct layout is shown on a 1" grid at: http://www.nrahq.org/compete/dept-silh.asp

This is the best place to get what you want. It's pretty simple, just lay out a 1" grid and start drawing. I then used the drawings to make some stencils out of marlite paneling, just lay the stencils on some sheets of cardboard and spray with 97 cent spray cans of Walmart flat black. Works great.
