Go to http://www.john-ross.net/guns_and_shootong.htm

to download and view a video from the S&W factory of the .500 being fired one-handed.

The factory *has* had cases of the gun "doubling," which I had earlier doubted. This video shows why. You can prevent this by using wood grips and always using two hands.

BTW S&W has just started shipping the 4" guns and I have one en route. Will have a full report with chrono data next week. Supposed to have the new Hornady 500 grain factory loads soon also.

Sweet Jesus In His Heavenly Lavatory!

:scrutiny:

OK, that's it. We've hit the "too much handgun, time for a freakin' RIFLE" level.

Ain't no WAY I'm shooting that. Not for love or money.

Watching his finger, it really looked like it the gun should have doubled. I guess it didn't QUITE come forward far enough.

:neener: You sissy la-la!

(Actually, I agree with you completely)

BB,
All the string was for was to hold a tag to the gun with testing information, ie model, serial #, number of rounds fired during testing, I intended to take it off for the video but forgot.
