I was wondering who makes the highest scope rings available today. I'm going to get my mauser drilled and tapped, but I don't want to have to get the bolt cut and welded. So i figure if I can get the scope settin up high the bolt will go under the scope. kinda like the germans had their scopes set real high.

Thats going to be REALLY high, even with a bent or wide arc bolt. You will have no cheekweld, and zeroing will be tougher...

If you're going to drill and tap, you may as well have the bolt work done. There is a guy called "the boltman" that does wonderful work, for less than $50.

There is always the scout-format.

the zeroing aspect never struck me. I tried the scout style, i learned i don't like pistol scopes at all.
