HISTORY CHANNEL CASTING MILITARY AND LAW ENFORCEMENT MARKSMEN/SNIPERS WITH STORIES OF AMAZING SHOTS MADE IN THE LINE OF DUTY

History Channel and the producers of “Top Shot” are looking for military, police, sheriff, SWAT and other agency marksmen and snipers with compelling stories of shots that they’ve taken while in service.

Maybe you’re a current or former military sniper or precision marksman who succeeded in an extraordinary long or short-range engagement. Maybe you’re a serviceman, federal agent or cop who landed an incredibly accurate shot that saved your life or the lives of others.

If you have a memorable tale of marksmanship that served your community or country, then the History Channel wants to know your story.

You will also have the opportunity to take part in a precision or sniper-related challenge to WIN A PRIZE!

Hey!

I'm over 21, served in Army AMU, and helped set up a sniper school in 1969.

And I can lie about as good as the next GI about my remarkable shots.

Pick me, pick me, pick me!!!! :D

I REALLY don't

want the general public to know just what I've done in my past life involving firearms, so I'll just skip this one.

unless they are SEALs, in which case, they've already made 2 movies about every engagement they've had :)

Let us hope they vet the participants better than the posers they used in the Discovery Channel's "Dual Survival".

I always wondered how they would ever get any real participation. I know some guys who are top notch, and they won't even tell their wives what they have done. I hear more than the wives do when we're in a dove field, squirrel woods, or fishing boat.

Same here. I have only written one minor account of my overseas firearm experience. I left it in care of a museum with instructions to release it to the public 35 years after I am deceased.

THIS made my day.

This! I remember one TOB at the Soldiers' Home that I had been visiting for years. I found out at his funeral he had been awarded the Silver Star, a Bronze Star and four Purple Hearts. If not for where he was you would have never known he was even in the military!

Real heroes don't need the public validation, although I do salute our men and women who served and I don't begrudge a hero his or her recognition. I know my grandfather considered his navy medals thanks enough, most of his war stories were humorpus ones, at least the ones he told. RIP grandpa and thanks for putting a stop to communism in Korea.

President's 100.....

I wonder if any of the elite President's 100 or the AMU(Army Marksmanship Unit) might get in on this new show.
In 2011, I was working with a friend in the TV-film industry about a unscripted series that documents the US Coast Guard's HITRON unit.
Based out of Cecil Field near Jacksonville FL, HITRON tracks and stops drug smugglers & other "high value targets" with high tech helicopters & powerful sniper rifles.
HITRON is the only federal law enforcement unit with a airborne use of deadly force policy.
