These polls don't do diddly-squat, like polls anywhere, but the one thing they do do is to show to Mr. and Mrs. Joe American that gun control is not really "common sense".

In other words, they might get to thinking "Gee, a lot of people are really against gun control after all. Hmm, I never hear that on the news!"
