right hand side 2 .308 holes, 147 gr fmj out of a 16 " barrel @ 175 yards

low center 3 impact craters 350L 145gr fmj out of a 16.3" barrel @ 175 yards
high left 1 impact crater 5.56 55gr out of a 16" barrel @ 175 yards
low left 1 hole 350L 145gr fmj out of a 16.3" barrel @ 75 yards.
I'm pretty sure the 5.56 and 350L both will hole the plate @ 100 yards and the 308 should still punch through @ 200
@ 175 the 5.56 almost cracked through were as the 350L just knocked big craters and slapped the plate around really hard.
the plate is a 3/16" piece of T1 which has a shear strength of 80k psi so its not regular mild steel with a 60k psi. shear strength
nothing scientific or special just me playing with my rifles and sharing with you guys

try some 64 gr. winchester razorback copper solids and see if those punch through. Our range has something like 2" thick steel that stops everything we throw at it, even at 175 yds but I have knocked them off the rack with a stiff loaded 140gr from my 270WSM.

When I was a police recruit, an example of cover was a curbside mail collection box...
it's more than adequate against most handguns but once the rifle comes out to play you want several inches of reinforced concrete between your body and the boomstick, that plate has been hit hundreds of times with everything from a 32 beretta tomcat to a p226 Sig in 357 sig with minimal marring and most of it shot between 10 to 25 yards, once you hit rifle velocities though things get exciting quickly
