HK night Sights

I just got a set of trijicon night sights for my HK USP they don't seem real bright it's been a while since I've had night sights so maybe I'm just not used to them. They are stamped 12 so they can't be getting dim already or can they?

Naw, the half life is around 10 years IIRC. Maybe you remember them being brighter?

I see some punch marks in the dovetails but not on the blade itself. In my experience when people whack noght sights in with a hammer and punch it can crack the glass vial containing the tritium / phosphorus. As the tritium gas leaks out the sight gets dim until it no longer glows. Take a close look at the lamp to make sure it is not broken.
