The HK-USA website is up-to-date. Their handguns are still being imported but no long guns for civilian sale. The P7 series and the stainless models are being discontinued and the Expert and Elite are "limited availability" and have been rumored to be discontinued for a while now.
The US plant isn't even up yet and it's been said that it's primarilyfor LEO/gov't models. Too much of a market NOT to have civilian models come out of there. Been hinted by HK that new models will ensure their longevity in the civilian market. To me this would mean something in in the stream up ahead.

Well since they have a U.S. plant that may be true.
Don't be too sure - read this (portion of a post dated 23 Feb 2005)
...You know the new HK factory in Georgia? Groundbreaking on that factory was in October. Of 2003! If you go there now, nearly a year and a half later, it is still nothing but an expensive hole in the ground. As far as I have heard they haven't even begun pouring concrete yet. The reason is because the creation of HK Georgia is wholly dependent on the success of a large military contract in the United States to procure XM8s. When that project fails to be brought to the market, there will be lots of finger pointing in all directions, to be sure, but HK will not build as much as a porta-potty on their expensive GA site.

The entire post and thread are interesting to read - lots of information on the status of H&K:

Sheesh, the only thing that makes HK sound any less hand-to-mouth than Colt is that HK still produces glossy catalogs.
