I purchased a P2000 LEM recently and can't stand the LEM trigger. I don't know what I should do since I don't know anyone wants to buy the gun, and I dont want a store to rip me off and pay me $350 for it.

Does anyone have any recommendations for what I should do? I read some of the posts on the HK forum and it says that it is very difficult to convert the LEM to the V1 or the V3.

Is there any conversion I can get for the P2000 LEM to make it a DA/SA gun with a trigger that has less travel?

If anyone is interested in purchasing this gun for a reasonable price, its a 9mm and is in EXCELLENT condition. I bought the gun new and have only put 1,000 to 1,500 rounds through it. I have taken very good care of this gun and it shows almost no signs of wear. Let me know if you are interested.

P2000 Specs

here is the link for the specs on the gun. In SA its 4.5 lbs and in DA its 11.47 lbs.

I am very good with the regular SA/DA trigger that comes on the USP, the regular P2000, and the P30, but can't seem to get used to the LEM trigger. The general consensus is that you either love it or you hate it. I am of the latter group. Too bad i realized this AFTER i spent the $920 on it, thinking I would learn to love it, I guess I thought wrong!

I don't think that the P2000 can be converted from LEM to DA/SA because the LEM frame lacks the cutout in the fram for the decocker. I'd suggest you sell it, try sites like Gunbroker, or pehaps arrange a trade with someone who also has a P2000 in DA/SA and wants the LEM.

There are multiple trigger weights available for LEM, just like Glock connectors can be swapped. You might want to look into a lighter pull conversion before tossing the gun altogether.

Try looking at HK Pro Forums

http://www.hkpro.com/forum/showthread.php?t=40627

That thread shows how to lighten the LEM trigger, But if you keep reading some of the other threads you may find out how to convert to one of the other varients.

I have the V3 SA/DA/Decocker P2000 and it is hands down my favorite gun to shoot. So much so that on the day I tried it I went home and sold both my 1911's to get it. It shot better out of the box than either of my 1911's did even after various trips to the gunsmith. Full magazine hits on man sized metallic silhouetes at 50 yards. Just incredible...:D

Well I don't know anything about conversions, other than to repeat the advice to check HKPro, but if you still have it in a month and still don't want it, I really want one, and I wouldn't mind the LEM trigger. What price are you thinking about? PM me I guess. Also, no chance you live in Maine is there?

I bought a P2000 with an LEM trigger last week and the first thing I did was get the $5.00 trigger spring changed. Man, what a difference.

I read up on HKPro and talked to the guy who sold me the pistol (he also owns one and highly recommended the conversion) and decided to do it the next day. I'm fortunate to have a Heckler and Koch armorer in the area, so I visited him and 10 minutes later, I walked out with what feels like a totally different gun.

If you've not read up on the conversion yet, check out the link posted by azwizard. It's long, and a lot of it contains responses to how well the job went, but interesting reading and worth your time before you write your pistol off and send it wayward. If you are handy and mechanical in any way, this can be done in less than 15 minutes.

The armorer only replaced the Trigger Rebound Spring as he was under the impression newer P2000's came with the newer Firing Pin Block Spring. We went from ugly, heavy, slothlike trigger to a crisp and clean one that breaks just around 5.5 pounds.

Night sights and a new trigger make this pistol a sweet carry. Can't wait to get more rounds through it. Good luck and let us know what you decide to do.

The LEM trigger is about 8lb. I have two with LEM - a USPc and my issued P2000 and like them both.

Oh good. I see glock56534 ordered the spring kit from an online supplier over on the HKPro forum. I hope this works for him and that the P2000 turns into the gun he desires, versus the gun he loathes.

glock56534, let us know how it goes and if it worked for you. I hope it's that spark that makes you fall in love with your pistol!

Best feel I could get out of the SK that I owned was pulling the FP safety clear out and using the stock trigger return spring.

Disclaimer- Just don't drop it too far muzzle first
