Hello

I have been thinking about buying a P7M8 or P7m13 but cannot decided which would be the better buy. Many people on various online forums have commented on the width of the p7m13, but have not compared it to anything. Does anybody have any experience with this gun? Just how wide is the grip and what does it compare to? A p226? A double column para?

Thanks.

I have a P7M10, which has the same grip width as a P7M13 (the M10 is double-stack .40-caliber, the M13 is double-stack 9mm).

The grip feels a bit like a non-SF Glock 21, both in the angle and the "blockiness". In fact, the guy I bought it from also owned a 2nd-gen Glock 21, so I was able to compare them directly.

I'm a big fan of the P7 series. I haven't yet owned an M13, but I've held several. To me, the grip seems about the same size as a Beretta 92. Bigger than the M8, but not outrageously large.

What do you plan to use it for? The M8 would make a better carry gun. M13s are a bit more expensive and the mags are very expensive.

There's a pretty good pic of the grip of the M13 on this page...

It would be a range gun. I've heard that the grip is bulky & the m13 makes the weapon feel bottom heavy.

Overall, it's close in size to a Beretta 92. The 92 is more rounded (where the P7M10/M13 is more blocky). The P7M10/M13's grip is longer front-to-back than the 92's grip.

Unfortunately, I don't have my friend's late Glock 21 to take comparison pictures with (he sold it a few months ago)--a G21's grip is closer in size to the P7M10/M13's grip.
