whats the scoop on the VP9 ?
Thinking of investing in one are they high on the recommend list :)

Good trigger, one of the best you'll find on a striker-fired pistol. Great ergonomics; picking it up is like shaking hands with an old friends. Euro-style paddle mag release is an acquired taste, but I like it. It's a bit more expensive than other striker-fired offerings, but not prohibitively so. I bought one of the first ones to hit the shelves and haven't regretted it.

Sergei summed up my thoughts as well. It's a good shooter and I haven't had a single malfunction through several hundred rounds.

I wanted a full dived striker gun. The VP9 is likely the only one I'll ever buy, because I just don't see myself finding one I like better.

IMO, the law enforcement offering with night sighs and the third magazine is worth the extra money.

Another member found something that presents a lot better deal. Palmetto State Armory has a closeout on FNS40 with night sights plus three magazines for $359+usual fees. If you don't mind .40S&W that is the best deal one is likely to get on new firearm.

So despite the fact that the OP asked about a striker fired HK gun in 9mm, your suggestion is that he look at a different brand firearm, that he hasn't shown any interest in, in a cartridge he has also shown no interest in?

I respectfully suggest that if you want to talk about the best bargain for guns at the current times that's cool, but start a new thread about that deal. Or better yet I'm going to contact a mod and see if we couldn't start a sticky thread, done by year that will allow folks to post the best deals they've gotten and ongoing sales.

I have a few G23's but I was thinking of adding a full size 9mm to my obsession
I would like to shoot more and I do reload I think I could get bulk 9mm component's a bit cheaper to reload and shoot more often, 9mm projectiles can
be found at a better price then 40 components, I am aware I could get a 9mm barrel for the g23 but interested in that :D

The VP9 is a winner. Great trigger, great ergonomics, reliable, all comes together and shoots well.

The VP 9 is easier for me to shoot well with less effort than any other handgun I own due to the amazing ergonomics and great trigger. This pistol just keeps ticking even with little cleaning after hundreds of rounds. In short, you should try one. Of course, if you don't you just won't know what your missing so nothing lost. If you do shoot one, you will buy one.
