Haven't seen one in a while but I can remember when some taverns used to sell ammo. I can also remember seeing it in all the places in the posts above. It is a different world now and not for the better IMHO.

PJSprog - it isn't anything but a "gun store" but there is a small store in Pinkneyville, IL, called Hick's. They even have a small outdoor range behind the store and have been there for over 40 years.
Lots of guns, new & used, ammo, info, "opinions", etc.
