I was at Bass Pro today and was not prepaired to purchase powder for loading 44 Mag and had not done my home work for what powder to get. It was far from home so I got H110 since it had a recipe for 44 Mag and figured it must be Ok for what I needed and took a chance that it would be OK.

I'm home now and checked my book and hodgdon.com and can find nothing for 240 Gr. LSWC, Did I make a mistake getting this for loading my Laser cast bullets?

Can anyone suggest best overall power to use for 240 Lead SWC?

I think I will be driving across town to return the power for another.

Go ahead and use the data for the 240 gr NOS JHP. I am looking at the 2004 edition currently and if you compare the two bullets with charges of Universal, you'll see that they are the same except the lead goes to a lower charge for CAS loads.

Tks, Shultz.

I checked my book and your correct when compairing the numbers on the high end but I noticed starting grains are lower with the lead then with the jacketed.

I'm still thinking I could take the powder back or I can just use the high number as max load? Also whats the the best overall power for 44 Mag?

240 Gr. LSWC
