I saw that the two powders are very comparable on the burn rate chart, TAC being a bit faster. My Q is I have been using H4895 for youth loads with great results (.308,.30-06, & .30-.30) here is a link: http://www.hodgdon.com/data/youth/index.php I was wondering if I could substitute the TAC since I have way more of this stuff.

Yes and No. All of their data is using H4895 for a reason. Some powders respond well to low charge weights, others do not. Ball powders generally don't like to be loaded lite. They tend to have erratic ignition and poor accuracy at low charge weights. The loads listed will probably give you the least trouble and best accuracy. I would look at your powder cabinet and see if you have any other 'stick' powders. Start low and work it until you are happy with the results.

Thanks, you are right TAC is a spherical ball type powder I didn't take that into consideration.
