My son, some friends, and me are looking to hunt hogs central Florida. Any recommendations? I'm new to the area so if anyone has some recommendations I would really appreciate it.
Thanks

I went to Clay Gully outfitters and had a great time.

My friend arranged the day of hunting, we each took one hog and had it dressed out. I love that geography and left the guide for an hour or two and just explored the property solo. Killing the hog was somewhat anti-climatic.

I'd go back but would negotiate a slightly different hunt. I don't want the meat and want more time to explore and track.

Thanks, a combo hunt may be a good thing too.

So many outfitters you can just pick one one from Google based on where you are at. I am not aware of any WMA's that don't have them. Since it appears you are near Orlando, I would look on the north side of Okeechobee Lake. Tends to be one of the largest concentrations and not a long drive.

"Central Florida" can run from Okeechobee to Gainesville- several hundred miles so where exactly?

I could be mistaken but I remember reading an article about hog hunting on WMAs in Florida for free. Even out of staters can hog hunt for free. https://www.gon.com/hunting/florida-wmas-offer-summer-wild-hog-hunting Ok so not free but $20 and some change to hunt hogs isn’t a bad deal. And it’s better to hunt weekdays. The hogs learned ppl like to hunt on the weekends. So they don’t move as much on weekends. Or so I’ve been told. Good luck.

After raising them for a number of years I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that pigs are starting to break into cars at the trailheads. Very intelligent animals.

I also vote for just going to a wma

How would a hog know if it is the weeke

Hogs now know the days of the week? This is troubling...:D

Could be more folks walking around on the weekends. Idk never hunted public land. Doubt I ever will.
