s to share huntin with.Just never had any kid's wanted to and one wife.That hunted once with me.Then we split. Hope you have many more hunting trip's with the daughter's.And good luck shootin dog's nothin like going dog huntin.I live in e.Mt. and have been out once already this yr. Right now at this sec,. though don't think I'll be going out doggin this weekend we are gettin rained on bad .And the dog's I'am talkin about is Prairie dog's ofcourse I just shorten it up....GOOD Huntin & Shootin.

You sure can be proud of your girls. You will indeed have hunting partners for life. My two daughters are better shots than I am, but absolutely refuse to go hunting.

These are the best times in your life! I taught my daughter to shoot my old BB rifle in the basement using paper targets to learn the basics on and to learn to site in . Later on we used spent rifle, pistol and shotshells as targets because they fell down. I bought a Remington 700 ADL .243 when she was a baby and kept in the box new for her. She shot it first when she was sixteen. She also had a Marlin 925. She shot some of my rifles and I am proud to say she often shot better groups with them than I did! She continued to shoot when she went to college. She used to shoot milk jugs and such offhand out to 60 to 75 yards. She also did her first squirrel and groung hog hunting down in Holmes County. I unfortunately was not there but I heard the stories. One day she told me shot ground hogs off the back of her horse. I asked her if the horse bolted and she said no. She first shot standing a few feet away and her thoroughbred didnt care so she got on her and tried it. She would ride the pasture and pop the hogs. She also learned to shoot the bow instinctively. Boyfriends used to find her hard to impress when it came to firearms and shooting. Now she married and her husband cant believe it and I think he a little intimidated at times. He only discovered fishing after getting married. She has shot many differnent types of firearms every chance she gets. Anyway good job with your daughters! I hope they realize they have been given a great lasting gift by their dad.

Great story and pics!!
My first wife learned deer, pheasant, and waterfowl hunting from her dad...loved being out in the fields. My son and daughters love the hunt, even when the game doesn't cooperate.
It's a shame a lot of kids never have the opportunity to hunt...it's a key part of American culture.
