yeah, my experience with custom holster makers has not been good. Ted Blocker was no exception. I ordered a holster for a 2.5 inch k frame and got a 2 inch holster. I fixed it by buying a 2 inch Model 15. But the cheap snap broke soon after. Luckily I live near their factory and they fixed it easily enough. That was when they were moving and Old Man Blocker was ill or something, but like I said, custom holstermakers have never done right by me, and believe me I have tried. Gene DeSantis however, is quite the gentleman.

My favorite holster manufacturers are DeSantis, certain Galcos, and Bianchi in that order. Safariland is good too.

Deanimator how short and stocky are you? I am called stocky, 5-6 and 190, but I like hi ride pancakes since they conceal well, but I think the limiting factor is just shoulder flexibility, I am very flexible for a stocky guy so I can whip out even a long barrel out of a high ride without a prob.

I use a DeSantis Viper paddle rig, a Bianchi #3S "Pistol Pocket" for IWB use, and an Uncle Mike's nylon pancake rig for OWB use (the only holster that has loops big enough for the reinforced 1.75" Instructor belt.)

My guns are three-inchers, M10 and M13...same dimensions.

Alessi K3 OWB

May I suggest a Lou Alessi K3 OWB holster. I've used one for six years and it's the best M13 3" holster there is. The Model 13 is the same as the Model 65 except blued, not stainless.:)

Here are two other gorgeous options, from Mernickle Custom Holsters, one that's really fancy and the other with the S&W logo. They also do these plain and they would look GREAT in a custom-made holster for a 3" Model 65:

Heck, they even do auto holsters too:

And SA stuff:

They do both plain styles as well as many fancy custom styles too. Gorgeous leather!
