Holster for a S&W 629 4"?

Anyone know of a good leather holster for a 4" barrelled N frame S&W? I want a good hiking holster for my belt. Also, if anyone knows of any synthetics that would fit the bill, let me know. Everyone seems to make a holster for the J, K and L frames. I've found very few for the N frame. Custom (expensive) holsters are OK. I don't care, as long as it works, fits, doesn't move and protects the gun. Thanks.

Bianchi #111 Cyclone. You can wear it vertical strongside or crossdraw style depending on which of the two out of three rear belt slots that you use.

Dillon Precision markets a couple of Kramer holsters for N-frames - see here for details (scroll down to see the holsters). Their prices aren't bad, compared to some of the other custom makers.

Favorite N-frame Holsters

My favorite N-frame holsters are

1. Bianchi Cyclone 111 crossdraw. Great for hunting and hiking. Bought mine used on the net for $25. Regurlarly about $50, I think.

2. Kramer Belt Scabbard. Excellent OWB for concealment. Holds the gun up tight to the body. Carries the gun's loaded weight all day in comfort. Almost no effect on your balance. Gun almost never prints. Amazing holster, actually. Bought mine direct from Kramer for about $100.

Sidearmor makes a new Kydex holster for the N-frame.

Speaking of Kramer, I just got another holster from them for my S&W 340PD titanium J-frame. It's the well-known Kramer pocket holster. I put it off for a long time because of the $85 price tag. Big mistake. Wish I had bought this excellent holster sooner. Holds the gun from ever falling out of the pocket, but the holster does not come out with the gun on the draw because of how the leather is hooked. Got it direct from Kramer. 44

El Paso Saddlery

The 'Tom Threepersons' from El Paso Saddlery will knock you out. I don't know HOW they do it, but for the same price I've paid for Galcos and Bianchis, my father ordered an El Paso Threepersons for his 625.

Whereas my holsters are of good quality and function well, the El Paso is actually beautiful to look at and didn't cost any more.

Downside: about a 3 month wait from order time. I suppose that's the price you pay for a craftsman to handmake your holster.

I like the Bianchi UM84R. It's the revolver version of their military holster.
The full flap offers protection but easy access. It's ambidexterious, carries a cleaning rod on the front edge and because of the universal mounting system will fit on any kind of belt.

Mine is in basic black but O.D. Green and Jungle Camo is also available.

I just wish they made it in a 6" version.
