I have a pocket holster but it does not retain it enough. all suggestions welcomed.

this will be no help :)

if it's time to go on the belt, it's time for me to move up in size of handgun. P3AT is only a pocket pistol IMO. Now, if you are switching after leaving the car then I get it.

But sorry, I'm not aware of a belt holster for it. But I've never looked for one either.

I have one, I think it's uncle mikes. I picked it up pretty cheaply. It's not the best quality, it is nylon with a velcro closure. I'll look when I get home.

Fobus does make a belt holster for the little P3AT.

Beyond that I think you'd be stuck with either having a custom one made or using a cheapo uncle mike's holster.

You might want to consider an ankle holster, I recently bought a P3AT from doc2005 and he gave me an ankle holster with it. To be honest I had never really considered the ankle holster but it works very well for my job(gotta hide it good) and I also like it for driving. I am right handed and I wear it on the inside of my left leg, the vehicles at work are all automatic transmission so I could very easily draw the P3AT while still effectively driving. Just something for you to consider, a lot of people don't like ankle carry but it has it's place.

Kel-Tec offers clips that let you hook them inside the waistband. You can get them for right or left hand. These can clip to waitbands but also suspenders and other places. You could try the KTRANGE and KTOG for specific holsters especially for Kel-Tecs. I know there are some women only things like above-the-knee thigh holsters but don't know much about them.

I make my own holsters and carry my P3AT on my belt fairly often. I don't like the extra weight of a heavy gun all of the time, and I don't even feel the Keltec when it is on my belt.

Don Hume

I have a Don Hume form fitting leather belt hoster made for the P3AT (as good as a galco and like 25-35 bucks). Like other have said I just order the pocket Don Hume, as I feel the gun is more of a pocket gun.... I have carried it in the belt holster multiple times under a tee shirt and no body could see it.

Some well made affordable ones here(belt also).. http://www.grandfatheroak.com/Stockdesigns.html ..I really like the GO Pocket Companion ..is very slim profile(kydex) and holds the gun very secure, and with a slight up and out movement the spur/hook(on holster) reliably catches the pocket material and strips the holster on draw.

There's also this.. http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/49995-33.html
or this.. http://www.ableammo.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=55436

Or make your own kydex holster like the other guys did ..More Info on it here...

I also have an Uncle Mike's size 10 iwb that works pretty well for what it is ..but is Very tight at first for a KT until it breaks-in, loosens up and takes a form (which can take even longer if you mostly pocket carry them like me :)

On the plus side it does completely shield the gun slide from the body/sweat ..and is made from a sweat proof material. Here's mine a few yrs old...
