I have a Glock 20 and was wondering what is the best type of holster for it. Also if you could give me some information on who is the best to buy from. I am wanting to conceal it so help me out please. Appreciate it!!

I carry IWB strong side for my bigger sidearms. i had a Don Hume for the Glock, worked nicely, and another coming from Andrews Leather for the Smith.

"Best holster" is a very individual and personal thing. I can tell you what I do, but you'll have to make your own call. My Glock rides in a Blade-tech tuckable IWB holster. It can be worn like a typical IWB holster, or your shirt can be tucked down in front of the body of the holster; the only thing visble is the belt loop. I like the kydex, others like leather. Like most of us, you'll likely end up with a drawer full of holsters that you tried and didn't like ...

My fiancee thinks my "drawer of failed concept" holsters is more out-there than the gun safe, and she's OK with that.

One day, I strung six holsters on my belt, filled em with unloaded guns, put on my biggest shirt over it all --- and asked her, "Does this outfit make me look fat?" I lifted my shirt, and had to pick her up. :D :D :D

Anyhoo --- Kydex, generally; DeSantis scabbards, if I'm feeling skinny enough to keep my belt tight enough. :D

Norestill, I have a Don Hume holster, but I ordered a IWB holster from Andrews Leatherworks and I love it. I think you will be pleasantly supprised when you wear it a while.

i would say an iwb or a tuckable holster is the way to go. don hume makes great leather holster. but there are many great kydex iwb holsters out there as well. now iwb in't the only option out there, i have a don hume open top leather padle owb that is very nice and very easily concealable. like was said above by the time you are through you might go through many holsters to find the one that is right for you, but you will. also another good option is a shoulder holster. galco miami classics are nice, my dad has two, one for a glock 19 and one for his kahr k-9 elite. as a matter of fact i just ordered one for my xdsc. good luck.

If it's IWB that you're looking for, I second the Versa Max II, or the Watch Six, both from Milt Sparks. They're similar, except that the VMII has a reinforced mouth, and is a little thicker. Both are wonderful holsters. If you want one in a short amount of time, I would suggest www.lightningarms.com. They stock Sparks products.

Take a good long look at the Brommeland Max Con V. www.brommelandgunleather.com . If you do a search on it you will see that it is one of the most highly regarded IWB holsters on the market. It comes in two grades. The Service grade is considerably less costly than the Presentation grade yet it's fit, form and function is just as good for IWB.

For Kydex I'd recommend the CTAC from Comp-Tac (I get mine at www.gunnersalley.com they have good prices and quick shipping). Comfortable, concealable, good retention (I like that "snap" you get from kydex when it clicks in place) and inexpensive.
For leather I'd go with a Milt Sparks versa-max II. I hear they have quite a long wait and are spendy but are great holsters. That will likely be my next holster purchase.

Another thing about the Kydex I like --- if the pistol is pulled from pretty much any but the "correct" position and angle, it tends to stay in the holster. You can set it for a nice, "snappy" pull, and a slow or off-center grab can be avoided.
