Holsters ca. 1952

My favorite kind of movie is a murder mystery or detective crime drama. Naturally I watch for the guns to see if I can identify them. Sometimes you can see the holster.

I don't think I have ever seen a form fitted holster like what is so popular today.

What were holsters like in 1952? If you have a picture I'd love to see it.

I can assure you there were plenty of form fitted leather holsters in the 50's. A Colt snubby isn't the same as a S&W and you wouln't buy a 'one size fits all' back then for serious carry.

Look in a 'holster bin' at a gun show and you'll see what I mean.
