Holsters for training

When a class requires a "sturdy belt holster" do you guys think that a sturdy kydex iwb would suffice? since I don't actually carry with a traditional belt holster, what would be the point of me using one in training? I shoot idpa with my IWB holster and don't have any problems, but I wonder if I'd have any problems in a class..

I would guess that it would be fine, but if you're not sure can you ask the instructor? Sometimes in a class setting they can be a little particular for safety reasons.
