I'd like to buy IWB type holsters for my Sig 226 and Smith 686 2". I'm at a loss when I go to the various web sites. All of the stores local to me just sell paddles and the few that have IWBs wont let them out of the bags.

I hear great things about Milt Sparks. I'm guessing it will cost close to $100 per so I'd like to make this a single purchase and don't want to end up with a drawer full of leather.

I'm about 5'7, 155lbs. I don't carry all the time. In fact I only carry for "fun." That is, I have never felt the need to carry but went along for the ride because my wife wanted to carry and does.

I find that when I carry my Sig in a paddle nestled under my massive winter coat, it feels like I have this big strong pal along with me. However, I can't carry this way when the July sun forces me into shorts and tees.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

For the 226 and a man of your build....for utmost concealment look for something with alot of cant......15-20 degrees and rides pretty much in the middle for height. Its a large gun and hides easily and comfortably with the right carry location and holster. Paddles dont conceal well at all....if you can do it with a large CCW garment or coat, you can do this with a T shirt in the summer.
Check out the designs with loops for and aft of the gun, it spreads the weight out keeping it stable and keeps it thin also.
Shoot well........Eric
