I wanted to make sure this wasn't for a case or something that might make sense but after tax and shipping to charge .50 a round for .22lr takes the cake... AND TO CALL IT DISCOUNT PRICING ON TOP OF THAT :banghead:

and I thought prices on gunbroker were bad.... better hurry they only have 8 and 5 units left respectively.... :what:

to charge almost 10 times for a box of .22lr that used to cost $30 is nuts..
curious to see if the inventory will actually move...

Death Ninja:
My question is how quick the fall in prices could be, months after Congress has lost the will (absent any more terrible "events") to pass more than a magazine limit and stronger background checks.

Don't steep price climbs for ammo always result in a dramatic fall, as with stock prices during market bubbles?
Being based upon the irrational emotions of large human "herds", all reacting negatively or positively at about the same time (fear vs. greed),
I don't see how the effect could be anything else.

If those who bought up many cases of ammo early, in order to sell at a high profit bought Too Much to sell before the bubble Really bursts, they could have lots of ammo cases to dump when the fever breaks. It happend in July '09 on GB. Can't wait to see rational thinking prick that bubble. No pun intended.

So 525 rds of GB weighs 5# and 525 of Winchester weighs 2.5#?:uhoh:

I'm thinking data entry snafu & those prices are for 10 box cases. Maybe they had Karl the New Guy processing a shipment. ;)

Now, now...it's going to be ok.

I've summarized the normal responses you will recieve.
1. Economics 101.
2. Your fault for not anticipating this.
3. You as a greedy consumer are wrong. The seller is always justified no matter what the pice.
4. Quit grumping as you have a choice on whether or not to purchase.
5. The seller needs to hike the price so he can still have invntory when everyone is out.
6. You don't grump when items are on sale below the normal price, so don't grump when they are higher.

Oh well...personally, I think it sucks, but what can we do except not buy. Unfortunately someone will continue to buy at those prices.

I think when I saw this last week, they had 12 boxes in stock.:( as long as people keep paying these prices, people will keep selling at these prices.
