Still in progress. Its been too cold to really fire up the foundry and get the sight mount cast since the oil is like molasses and does vaporize correctly. Sight mount will clamp on the barrel and weaver 10/22 scope rails will be used to actually mount the scope rings on. Will have a red dot sight. After I get the sight mount done, I can work on finishing up the curves and smoothing work with car putty or QuikWeld. Eventually will make duplicate and carve out wood for casting aluminum stock. Everything works though. I have shot a bunch of rounds through it already, just no way to aim. Rifle is a Stevens 987 22lr. I saved it from the junkyard and got it working, but stock was practically useless so I am building one as a project.

Update: In response to stan rose, the stock is 2 piece. The rifle is basically sandwhiched between both sides of the stock with about 15-20 stainless steel machine bolts holding the stock together in strategic places. I "glass embedded" the action so that when the stock is completely tightened, nothing moves and the action is rock solid. Ill post when im finished. Itll look alot better then.

It looks cool. I'm just wondering how you'll be able to remove the rifle from the stock for future repairs or cleaning?
