Sitting around waiting on covid to go away isn't really my thing so I've been catching up on projects. One was to build a pistol rest from leftovers from earlier projects so here it is. Some bamboo left from a benchrest stock I built, some leftover red oak and even a piece of white oak. some eighth inch aluminum bar, a couple of threaded knobs, a piece of 1/4" steel rod, a 5/16" bolt, a little 1/4" fuel line, 3 neoprene chair leg cushions, a little spray polyutethane finish and I was mostly in business. I had to buy one knob and the 3/4" x 2 2 1/2" aluminum bar to complete it. Please forgive the less than great pictures. I had to kneel down to take them and kneeling isn't something I do well anymore. I was paying more attention to my knees than images.
Here it is in it's smallest form for small guns.
Extended for large guns.
It could be pressed into service for a front rifle rest also.
